Clarity about Circularity - Back to School!

Published

8th March 2021

Welcome to issue 5 of Clarity About Circularity, a blog series by MDG Group. So far, we have discussed our sustainability journey, our role with Circular Tayside, green energy, and the Triple A Plan detailing your Accountability, Awareness and Action as a business aiming to become more circular and environmentally friendly. If you have missed any of these please get in touch using the contact details below and we can send you a copy!

Last month we were delighted to be invited to talk at the University of Dundee to second and third year students about MDG’s Triple A Plan and sustainability drive. This was a great opportunity for us to speak and share ideas with future business leaders about the changing landscape and push towards Net-Zero, and how it is important to start making positive changes today.

Our presentation focussed on our involvement with Circular Tayside and what we are doing as a business ourselves and to help customers grow and comply with Government legislation as they progress along their circular journey. Having both attended the University of Dundee ourselves, we felt it was important to highlight particular skills that we have developed since working at MDG Group and what it is like working in a professional business environment after transitioning from university.

Working with local universities and colleges to help educate students on advancements in sustainable practices, Circular Economy and monitoring & targeting systems is very important to MDG Group. It is imperative that businesses are working with this in mind, and new graduates are going to be at the forefront of for years to come.

As we look to continue work with our community, we are always looking for more organisations to interact with. If your business would like to learn more about sustainability and how MDG Group can help, please get in touch to arrange a free consultation.
