Welcome to issue 6 of Clarity About Circularity, a blog series by MDG Group. So far, we have discussed our sustainability journey, our role with Circular Tayside, green energy, and the Triple A Plan detailing your Accountability, Awareness and Action as a business aiming to become more circular and environmentally friendly. If you have missed any of these please get in touch using the contact details below and we can send you a copy!

As we have previously discussed, it is imperative that businesses are doing all they can to ensure they are moving towards Net-Zero, protecting the environment and complying with Scottish Government regulations. An effective way of doing this is to install a Solar Photovoltaic System.

Solar PV uses energy from the sun to generate electricity. Although they can generate electricity all year round regardless of weather, Solar PV Systems are most efficient in the summer months when facing south into direct sunlight. Energy is produced on site, reducing reliance on the grid which is healthier for the environment and can help to decrease your energy costs. As Net-Zero makes its way to the forefront of government legislation, businesses are beginning their journey now, and many are doing so via Solar PV Systems. At MDG Group we are always looking to be proactive and as such can now offer our customers a Solar PV System product.

We are working closely with a specialist provider of renewable energy solutions to provide our customers with a solar product that we can be proud of. Historically, solar panels have been considered to be of high expense, however we have noticed a growing interest in roof mounted Solar PV installations, due to falling installation costs and increased electricity costs resulting in reduced payback times.

If you are beginning to think about solar as a future project for your business, please do get in touch and we will be happy to help and guide you through the process!
