Let’s stick together with D&A College Alumni

If the past year has taught us anything it’s that working in isolation can be damaging for us all. So, it’s with great excitement and pride that Dundee and Angus College is launching its first ever Alumni Association.

It may sound grand, but the aim is simple; to unite past graduates of the College in one mutually supportive network.

Over the years many of its College graduates have progressed to successful and fulfilling careers in a whole range of areas.

Take Shaun Stickland. After graduating with a BA Hons in Dance from The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance which resides at The Space, Shaun is now a successful contemporary movement artist and choreographer based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Then there’s award-winning photography graduate, Ben Douglas. He’s well on his way to making his mark after winning the top prize in the prestigious Wex Student Awards.

Joiner Steph Barron is an employee of building firm, Stewart Milne, and has blazed a trail of glory with both the quality of her work and her passionate advocacy for bringing more women into the construction industry.

The phrase ‘It’s who you know, not what you do’ may not have the best connotations if you’re struggling on your own to make a mark in your profession. But what if the College could connect you with somebody further up the ladder who could advise and encourage you? Or what if you’ve already learnt the hard way and could make that journey a little easier for the next person?

So, if you’re a graduate of D&A College and you’re making your mark in biomedicine, running your own garage, winning hairdressing awards or landscaping gardens, we want to hear from you. Not only could you help the next generation on the road to success, you could benefit from a whole range of CPD training, discounts and benefits, not to mention a whole raft of new contacts.

So please get in touch through our College website https://dundeeandangus.ac.uk/about-us/alumni/ Alternatively, you can email our Learner Engagement Manager directly at alumni@dundeeandangus.ac.uk

Dundee & Angus College

Dundee and Angus College is moving away from traditional thinking and focussing much more on careers not courses. It wants the people of the Dundee and Angus region to be better informed and prepared for the career options available to them, no matter what stage they are at.
