Glamis Castle reopening

Glamis Castle opened its gardens and grounds to the public on April 1st and is looking forward to opening its historic doors to visitors for tours again, from 10am on Monday 26th April, 2021.

Glamis Castle Kitchen is also due to re-open on April 26th. A beautiful, original Victorian kitchen experience, the Castle Kitchen will be hosting newly launched themed afternoon teas and a table d’hote lunch offering, curated by the Castle’s new Executive Chef.

All freshly prepared with the very best seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients, an array of tempting dishes will be available, from Traditional Cullen Skink and Roast Belly of Pork on the set lunch menu, to mini red onion filo tarts and raspberry and pistachio tartlets for the Queen Mother’s Afternoon Tea. Afternoon tea can be followed with a visit to the Gift Shop which also opens on April 26th.

Glamis Castle has been the ancestral seat to the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne since 1372, inspiration for Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and birthplace of HRH The Princess Margaret.
