Fife-based student, Paige Eadie joined the team at KR Group Scotland a few weeks ago as part of the Santander Employability Scheme at Abertay University in Dundee.

Paige, a recent graduate with a degree in Marketing and Business has been working with the team to analyse existing marketing practices and implement future campaigns. With no previous construction experience, Paige has had to build knowledge in steel and cladding construction and tailor her recommendations for the sector.

Paige was contacted by her tutor and encouraged to apply for the placement to gain some ‘real-life’ marketing experience and to put into practice the skills she had acquired during her course. This is what Paige had to say about her experience at KR Group Scotland,

“Although working remotely, I haven’t felt excluded from the team and am still able to contact anyone if I need to. Everyone has been really welcoming and supportive and I have been given a variety of tasks to complete which will allow me to advance my marketing and construction industry knowledge further. I am looking forward to what time I have left working here and exploring the sector further.”

KR Group have long been advocates for supporting education and young people, raising the profile of the construction industry, and highlighting the variety of career paths available. The Scottish company have dedicated themselves to their youth work, from taking part in school construction challenges to hosting students on long- and short-term placements.
