Circle Scotland CIC (The Circle) has been named one of the top 100 UK social enterprises for the third year in a row. The organisation has been listed on the NatWest SE100 Index, a list that celebrates the growth, impact and resilience of social ventures in the UK. The SE100 was created by Pioneers Post in partnership with NatWest over 10 years ago.

The Circle has been named alongside organisations such as Madlug, Wild and Kind CIC and Homes for Good. This announcement comes after a year of immense growth and development for The Circle. In 2020 the organisation implemented a 4-day working week to improve staff wellbeing and encourage work-life balance. They also moved to solely online delivery of their social entrepreneurship training programme, The Circle Academy. They helped to secure over £250,000 in funding for their tenants, consultancy clients and others during the pandemic. In June it was announced that The Circle would be expanding into a second hub, this time in Easterhouse, Glasgow, and they have expanded their staff team.

Kirsty Thomson, Founder and CEO of The Circle, says
“We’re thrilled to be named on the Index for a third year running. It means so much to be recognised for our hard work in the past 12 months and to be listed alongside such a high calibre of organisations.”
