Dundee’s Wellgate Shopping Centre is inviting small independent traders and / or budding entrepreneurs to participate in their Battle of the Stalls on the Mall event this October, where there’s £1750 in prizes up for grabs!

Wellgate Centre Manager Mo Dennis commented, “Further to the success of our Shop Star campaign last year, The Wellgate Centre decided to support the huge number of start-up businesses in Dundee, and also to give shoppers the chance to enjoy an array of new offerings in the centre.

“With the economic uncertainty brought about by the recent pandemic, many people have been inspired to give their dream of being an independent trader a go, and this event gives them the chance to try out their ideas.

“Experienced or new entrepreneurs can complete our online questionnaire and we will then choose up to 23 businesses to host a stall for free on 22nd and 23rd October.

“Customers will vote for their favourite stalls across the two days, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive prizes of £1000, £500 and £250 respectively.

Simply complete the application on the Wellgate Centre’s website (www.wellgatedundee.co.uk) before 5th September and you will be in with a chance of hosting your stall for free in the Centre on 22nd / 23rd October.
