University of Dundee invites local businesses to apply for funds

Are you a business that makes impact and/or brings benefits to the region? Or perhaps you are looking to advance your offering through an innovative solution? If so, the University of Dundee has an opportunity for you to tap into funding and academic resource.  It’s called The Innovation and Impact Development Fund (IIDF).

IIDF is an internal pot of funding made available to you through the Research and Innovation Services (RIS) Directorate within the University of Dundee. The fund aims to encourage and facilitate regional collaboration with SMEs, public sector and third sector organisations and supports projects that otherwise may be ineligible for funding through other early innovation schemes (e.g., Innovation Vouchers, KTPs, etc.)  This means that if you are a local business with a focus on regional benefit and impact, innovation and/or engagement, you are eligible to apply.

Interested? Here’s how to find out more…

On the 20th January, 2-4pm RIS are hosting a showcase of the projects that were successfully awarded funding in last year’s submission.  At this event you will hear, first hand, from local businesses and academics who partnered together to successfully apply for funds and bring projects to fruition.  The showcase will include the Women’s Business Station, Ecoanolytes and the DCA.

You will also learn how to apply for the fund and be provided with information on the next round of funding.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to take advantage of this annual fund. Reserve your space at this event here: https://iidf-showcase.eventbrite.co.uk/

University of Dundee

Nobel Prize winning poet and honorary graduate Seamus Heaney has described the University of Dundee as ‘having its head in the clouds and its feet firmly on the ground.’ The ability to be both aspirational and down-to earth and to blend ground-breaking intellectual achievement with practical applications, has given the University its distinctive character.
