
Job Title: Marketing and Social Media Manager
Permanent full-time position
Company: Sekers Fabrics Limited & Wemyss Fabrics Limited
Location: Head Office, Dundee DD2
Salary: £20,000 to £25,000 depending on experience
Jointly owned, both Sekers and Wemyss are long established brands supplying high end furnishing fabrics and wallcoverings to trade customers both in the UK and internationally for use in hospitality, leisure, marine and residential interior projects.
The successful candidate will work alongside the design and procurement teams and interacting with the Group Sales Director and Area Sales Managers. This is a key role in the strategic development of the companies, working on improving their performance in marketing and their ability to market and communicate its current strengths and capabilities more effectively, via all forms of social media.
This is an exciting opportunity for somebody to grow and develop with a company by delivering a consistent marketing message across various platforms and assisting with product development for both brands.
Reporting to the Design Manager and Managing Directors, the key responsibilities are as follows:
· Perform market research and sales analysis to ensure the marketing strategy is current
· Plan a social media and marketing calendar
· Create engaging and interesting social media content that is relevant
· Analyse and report on website and social media activity using Google analytics, produce ideas and content with Search Engine Optimisation in mind.
· Work with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office
· Update website with new products, write copy, liaise with outside sources to ensure timely upload of imagery for collection launch
· Send out e-shots using e-marketing platforms
· Produce ads, postcards and printed material, and literature for website and PR
· Create photographic content as required, manage imagery and maintain an effective image database
· Assist with requirements for photo shoots
· Organise sample books and cards, arrange quotes, ensure information is correct and communicated to suppliers
· Create Sample Book and Pattern Card Files
· Liaise with Pattern Book makers reference delivery deadlines
· Assist with design and product development
· Quality check finished products to meet our high standards
The successful candidate should have a degree level qualification in marketing or similar and have experience of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office. They should be self-motivated with good communication skills and a good team player with creative flair and an eye for aesthetic detail. The ability to work to deadlines, be well organised and the ability to plan are all attributes that will be required for this role. Occasional travel within the UK to attend trade shows and assess market trends will also be necessary.
An interest and affinity for textiles is desirable but not essential.
