Dundee City Council (Linlathen Road Area) (20 mph Zone) Order 2022

Published

11th March 2022

Dundee City Council propose to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.  Due to an extensive new housing development, it is necessary to apply the appropriate speed to these sections of carriageway to promote road safety.

A copy of the Order showing the lengths of roads affected may be examined on our website during a period of 21 days from 11/3/22.  A copy of the plans can also be viewed by searching for "Traffic Regulation Orders" in the Roads and Travel section of our website.

Any person may within 21 days from 11/3/22 object to the proposed Order by notice in writing to the Head of Democratic and Legal Services, Dundee City Council, 5 City Sq, Dundee, DD1 3BA, or by E Mail to trafficorderobjections@dundeecity.gov.uk.  Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

Dundee draws skilled workers from a 60-minute catchment population of 640,000 and has a local population of over 140,000. The availability of a large pool of highly skilled labour is a key feature in the Dundee economy. Flexibility in the labour force is currently more prevalent in Dundee than in Scotland as a whole. All forms of labour market flexibility - part-time, temporary employment, self-employment and shift work - are widely operational within the city. Labour force stability in the city is excellent, enabling companies to plan with confidence. Labour turnover levels are less than 5% and absenteeism averages 2%.
