New business support project help 100 Dundee business owners and start ups

The E3 project was created to offer free guidance and support to businesses at the heart of local communities. The programme is being delivered by Elevator UK, Scotland’s leading private sector organisation dedicated to providing business and entrepreneurial support.

Funded through the UK Government’s Community Renewal Fund, E3 launched in Dundee at the end of January to provide a network of enterprise support services to drive skills development, increase start-up rates and deliver job creation opportunities across the city.

The team is made up of 5 women, all bringing their diverse and extensive experience to serve business owners with Dundee City boundaries: Kate Clark, Edith Adam, Jamie Wilson, Siobhan Brogan and Shirley Peacock.

Business Enablement Manager Kate Clark says:"Digital upskilling is a key element of our service – we have a variety of social media grants, training, and digital support available, particularly for young entrepreneurs just starting out in business. A grant of up to £300, together with mentorship and support, is also available for 18-30 years old to set up their business. So far, in less than 3 months, we have helped 100 businesses, including start ups, with their online presence, opened our address books to give them key contacts to grow their business and helped 7 young people apply for the grant. We are looking forward to helping more."

If you have a business, or if you are thinking of establishing your business, in Dundee, then E3 is here to help you. To find out more, register at https://www.e3hub.org.
