Post: Mentor for Men
Salary: £14.04 per hour
Terms: Sessional 7-14 hrs for a period of 6 months

Brief Description of Duties:
As a Mentor you will be supporting men who are involved with the Perth Community Justice Service We would particularly welcome candidates with lived experience (this can be personal experience, or experience gained through a close relative, friend or as a carer).
The mentor will provide tailored, trauma informed 1:1 input to support personal development and create pathways to engaging with relevant support services as well as meaningful social and community-based activities. The worker will meet with the individuals they are working with on an outreach basis weekly with flexibility for additional weekly contact should there be a requirement to provide this.
This 1:1 trauma informed input is a key part in supporting these individuals to overcome barriers; it creates a trusting relationship between where support and encouragement can be provided to empower them to take charge of their lives, manage appointments, access and maintain engagement with relevant support and services. The mentor will liaise with partner agencies involved (with consent) to ensure seamless care and support can be provided so the individuals needs are met
