Agency of None Designs New Campaign for V&A Dundee Plastic: Remaking our World Exhibition

Dundee design studio Agency of None have created the advertising and marketing campaign for the latest V&A Dundee exhibition Plastic: Remaking our World. The exhibition, which is now open and runs until the 5th of February, examining the 150 year history of the material, looking at the issues it has created and how we build a more positive future.

Director Ryan McLeod said: "We're delighted to be the first Dundee based design studio to create an exhibition campaign with V&A Dundee. We took a motion led approach focusing on key objects that feature in the exhibition. From the mass produced pineapple syrup container to the luxury Eero Aarnio ball chair and the all too familiar empty plastic bottle. The campaign is designed to highlight the past, present and future of the material and encourage audiences to come and explore."



Exhibits include many objects from the worlds of fashion, architecture, furniture and product design as well as new forward thinking designs and projects looking to a more sustainable future. Visitors can also explore the 'promise and problem' of plastic in the free Plastic Lab.

Director Lyall Bruce said: "Plastic is everywhere in our lives and has shaped it in so many ways. From starting out as a revolutionary material in the early 1900s, to becoming a disposable commodity and now one of our biggest environmental issues there's a lot of history and complex issues tied up in the material. So trying to capture the essence of such a deep and complex exhibition was challenging."

Agency of None, based in the Nethergate in Dundee, have worked on a wide range of projects from producing the Dundee Design Festival in 2019 and 2021 to creating brand identities, motion graphics and web design and development for companies locally nationally and internationally such as Mozilla, Academy Music Group and the British Council.
