Supporting companies to meet their Corporate Social Responsibility outcomes

Corporate Social Responsibility encourages companies to contribute positively to both the environment and society beyond its core business activities. It encourages organisations to consider the impact of all of its business operations on all of its stakeholders mitigating any negative effects, whilst promoting social and environmental well-being. Many Scottish companies have embraced CSR as a core aspect of their operations, integrating it into their business strategies, policies, and day-to-day practices.

Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action (DVVA) would like to support organisations in the future to achieve their desired outcomes in this area. Given that DVVA is the Third Sector Interface; a membership organisation for all third sector across Dundee with our partner Dundee Social Enterprise Network (DSEN), we offer advice, support and training on all aspects of being or setting up a new Charity, Social Enterprise a Community Interest Company (CIC). We would like to utilise our already established networks to develop an infrastructure that will support organisations to be matched to local charities to meet their CSR outcomes. This approach will be mutually beneficial not only to companies and their staff but also to local communities who already benefit from the work undertaken in the third sector. This is not only limited to local companies but to national ones with a local presence.
