Dundee City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose of facilitating the installation of a pedestrian crossing, road surfacing, duct installation and pedestrian railings installation for a new housing development. The Order is expected to be in force for two weeks from 20 November 2023. Its maximum duration in terms of the Act is eighteen months.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in in (1) Clepington Road from its junction with Mains Loan for a distance of 150 metres or thereby in a westerly direction and for a distance of 80 metres or thereby in an easterly direction and (2) the junction with Main Loan/Clepington Road affecting both the north leg and south leg of Mains Loan at its junction with Clepington Road. This prohibits the entry to and exit from Mains Loan at its junction with Clepington Road.
An alternative route will be available via (1) Clepington Road, Arklay Street, Dens Road, Dura Street, A929 Forfar Road and in reverse and (2) Clepington Road, Arklay Street, Dens Road, Dura Street, A929 Forfar Road and Kingsway. Local diversions are also available.
