Movember at the Mantuary

Now it’s November, so you know what that means – razor in the drawer until December 1st. Whilst we won’t exactly miss shaving every morning, we know growing the ultimate ‘tache’ can be tricky, which is why we’re here with the Mantuary’s pick of male grooming tricks and tips.

Whilst we know some of our chaps are perhaps a little more hirsute than others, it’s possible to encourage hair follicle growth with a healthy diet. Focus on Vitamins A, B, C, D, and E to help reactivate follicle receptors that no longer push new hair growth, helping you bulk out wispy tendrils, and focus on adding whole foods including fish, eggs, cow dairy and nuts for an easy (and delicious) boost.

An easy way to encourage hair growth is by incorporating a Beard Oil into your morning and evening routine. Even if you’re still in the growth phase, a great oil can help stimulate growth, and condition what’s already there. Unlike thick creams, an oil won’t clog pores and our own Mantuary Beard Oil moisturises and nourishes hair, so it will look healthier and shinier. Try using it in conjunction with a good quality comb, so you can ensure an even distribution, and why not try using the oil to help with styling too?

Whilst shaving for men is off the cards for Movember, don’t be afraid to trim. Once you’re noticing new growth, don’t fear the scissors. A fresh trim will keep you looking good, and shorter hair can look thicker. If you don’t trust yourself – pop in, our team will be happy to advise on styles as well as provide a little shaping. If you can’t quite encourage the bold and busy look, aim for something a little different. From waxed handlebars to twirled ends, it’s time to have some fun!
