At the Chamber’s packed AGM yesterday, President Tim Allan announced that Director and Vice-President, Alison Henderson, will hold the reins on a part-time basis until a permanent appointment can be made. Welcoming the announcement, departing Chief Executive, Sandra Burke, presented an annual progress report on the theme of change and continuous improvement. She reported that the future is bright with membership increasing, retention improving, beneficial new services for members and a dynamic and energetic executive team starting to make a positive impact. Looking ahead, President Tim Allan said that his aim is for the Chamber to become ever more relevant, robust and representative. He also encouraged more local businesses to join the Chamber’s thriving business community in order to help strengthen the local economy throughout Dundee and Angus.
