RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS NEEDED!!!

Data science for business: how can Scottish small firms benefit?

Having helped small businesses in Tayside and beyond for many years to improve their data processes, our COO Roger Adams is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Stirling Management School. The study aims to investigate the factors which influence the adoption of Data Science technologies in small firms by examining the characteristics of the business, the key decisionmakers and the operating environment.

Roger is now looking for the help of the Chamber of Commerce Membership…

Q: Are you an Owner-manager / CEO / Decisionmaker in a micro or small business with between 5 and 49 employees?

If so, Roger would really appreciate your participation in completing an online survey.

Your participation in the survey would contribute significantly to the success of the study. As a key decisionmaker, your perspectives would be immensely valuable providing insights into the factors affecting the decision on whether or not to adopt data science technologies.

The survey can be accessed at the following link or QR code:

Before you complete the survey please read the Participant Information Sheet and should you have any questions please feel free to contact Roger at roa3@stir.ac.uk. The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept confidential, and the data will be used solely for academic research purposes.

The findings of the research have the potential to deliver significant benefit not only academia but also the Scottish business community at large. Upon completion, a summary report of the research findings will be made available on the University of Stirling website.

Your time and consideration are greatly appreciated, and I sincerely hope you can find a moment to share your valuable insights.

Thank you for considering this request.
