Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, is the only charity air ambulance helicopter in Scotland. Based centrally at Perth Airport, it is ideally located to cover east and central areas of Scotland. Its missions deal with a wide range of time-critical emergencies.

Margaret Clark, Senior Manager at the Scottish Antique and Arts Centre, said: “Having been impressed to see the great work that Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is delivering across Scotland, we are delighted to be doing something different to assist their fundraising activities. We are pleased to be organising these Valuation Days and have been encouraged by the numbers of people and quality of items brought in to date. We are greatly looking forward to this next Valuation Day at Abernyte and hope that people will come and support this worthy cause.

“Visitors can donate by having a valuation or by simply visiting the Centre on the day. All money raised will go to this vital Scottish charity which saves lives and brings emergency medical relief to those most in need. They need the support of everyone in Scotland and both our centres are delighted to help fundraise for this essential lifesaving service.”

SCAA Chief Executive Gavin Davey said they were extremely grateful for the innovative and exciting fundraising plans at the Abernyte and Doune centres.

“Members of the public will be able to have their treasures valued by experts and know that their fee will also help to keep our vital helicopter air ambulance in the air,” he said.

“Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is funded entirely by public donation and we depend on organisations, individuals and businesses such as SAAC getting behind our cause and fundraising through new and exciting ventures such as this.

“Cash raised through the Valuation Days and the collection boxes in the two centres will help keep SCAA flying for the benefit of everyone in Scotland.”
