Lawrie was born in Inverness and now lives in Forfar. He is a Graduate of Gray\'s School of Art, Aberdeen and has exhibited his work with the AAS, RSA, RSW.

\"Solo Spot\" will feature approx. 40 pieces of his work all of which have been influenced by Lawrie’s love of Jazz and features the visual recordings he has made in various venues over the last 30 years. It portrays many characters, some of whom Jazz devotee\'s may recognize!! The work featured will be in a variety of styles and include paintings, drawings, prints, collages and banners.

The exhibition will open on the evening of Thursday 2 October 6 - 9pm by the very eminent Dr James Morrison RSA, RSW who will introduce Lawrie and his work.

As well as the amazing Jazz inspired art exhibition, drinks and canapés will be served and the amazing Ugly Bug Ragtime Three will perform. Purveyors of fine Vintage Jazz and featuring John Burgess on Saxaphone and Clarinet, Duncan Findlay on Banjo and Guitar and Andy Sharkey on String Bass - we are all set for a good night!

Supper will also be available on the evening by reservation in Café Circa Restaurant and the rest of the Antique and Arts Centre @ Abernyte will be open for shopping. 

Lawrie Harris “Solo Spot” exhibition will run from 3 – 26 October and open daily from 10am – 5pm.
