Meeting Centres Scotland is a pioneering national charity with deep roots in Angus, where Scotland's very first dementia Meeting Centre opened in Kirriemuir in 2019. Meeting Centres offer vital community-led support, enabling people living with dementia and their families to stay socially connected, active, and supported in their local areas. There are now 23 Meeting Centres open across Scotland, with a further 10 funded and set to open soon, including the groundbreaking new centre currently under development at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Dundee. Funded by the NHS Charitable Foundation, this new centre will serve as a beacon for dementia-friendly community support, setting a new standard across Scotland and beyond.
This May, Meeting Centres Scotland will host its first international conference right here in Dundee. The conference will bring together global experts, local communities, and key stakeholders in dementia care and support. Meeting Centres Scotland is actively seeking local sponsors, both monetary and in-kind, to support this landmark event and their vital ongoing work. If your business would like to contribute or partner with this impactful initiative, please get in touch! Contact: graham@meetingcentres.scot
