Brief Description of Duties:
As a Birch resource worker, you will be responsible for implementing a range of interventions and support measures as part of an integrated package of health, therapeutic and social support. Birch is specifically designed to address the complex needs of individuals who have lost the care of their children to the care system, through intensive support, to enable change in their lives, and ultimately reduce the numbers of children being removed into care. You will work systemically in delivering a relationship-based programme where frequency, tenacity and creativity are central. The post holder will be required to assess the needs of individuals referred to the service and plan and deliver a proportional response to the presenting issues. Work will be delivered through one-to-one intervention as well as within a group setting across a range of sites. Additionally, you will be expected to support the development of this service by contributing to the content & style of programmes/interventions as well as liaising with other agencies and professional workers to promote the service and identify specific gaps in provision within the local area.
This post will form part of service developments aimed at extending the Birch service to the Perth and Kinross area.
