An exciting new chapter in the Shell LiveWire story has begun in Scotland, with the launch of the next cohort of their entrepreneurship programme. They’re looking for entrepreneurs and company owners who are ready to transform and grow their business!
Shell LiveWire launched in Scotland in 1982 before expanding across the globe to operate in 20 countries to strengthen local economies through entrepreneurship, innovation, and meaningful employment. In 2022 alone, the programme supported 892 existing businesses and 145 new businesses, with 123 Shell LiveWire-supported businesses entering their supply chain. The Shell LiveWire programme encourages participants to venture beyond their comfort zone, gaining the confidence required to shift gear, challenge perceptions and embrace their business’s ultimate potential.
In collaboration with their delivery partner, leading business and entrepreneurial support organisation, Elevator, they have designed a bespoke programme of coaching, mentoring, masterclasses and residential trips to expand successful applicants’ thinking and help them embrace the growth mindset required to transform their business.
The cohort will work with Elevator’s experienced and knowledgeable Programme Managers, who will offer dedicated one-to-one support, facilitate group and individual sessions and arrange mentoring and coaching from a network of experts.

Please note: Each company can enrol two participants as attendance is expected from the company at all events. You can send a proxy if absolutely necessary.

Participants should be key decision makers, founders, co-founders, directors or c-suite executives with a business obstacle to overcome.
Shell LiveWire is designed to challenge this thinking and clarify the obstacle whilst exploring and understanding the innovative ways to solve problems. This requires participants who are open minded, focused on growth and willing to engage with the programme wholeheartedly.
They’re looking for small and medium enterprises which fit the following criteria…
- Have been operating for at least 2 years
- Based in Scotland
- Employ 2-149 people
- Currently generating revenue and have clear ambition for growth
- Making a positive contribution in some way, shape or form to the energy transition with their business model
- Participants must be founders or directors with key decision-making power who are willing to commit to programme time requirements
