STV Expert Voices

At STV we are growing our network of subject matter experts and contributors to increase representation of diverse voices across our news and current affairs output.

STV Expert Voices provides media interview skills training to under-represented commentators in Scotland. They are educators, academics, researchers, campaigners, policy makers, community activists, writers, workers, carers and experts in their subject area.

The next session on Tuesday 10th June (7-8pm) will be aimed at women from any background who would like to have their voice heard in the media.

Our reporters, presenters, technical staff and producers will discuss what we're looking for from the contributors who come onto our programmes. There will be practical interview tips and a chance to ask us any questions on areas which might be holding you back.

We will aim to make this online session as accessible as possible so please let us know if there's anything that'll make it more straight forward.

If you would like to join our growing network of potential contributors, helping STV News to feature more diverse voices and different perspectives in our programme content, please complete our application form.

STV News will then be in touch to give you more information and log in details.
