The Hideaway Experience in Angus has been shortlisted to compete for title of ‘Best Holiday Accommodation’ at our North East & Tayside regional finals of the Scottish Thistle Awards.
Set to take place at Perth Race Course next month (11 November), this year’s awards have a particular focus on customer service, and for the very first time, members of the public were invited to nominate their tourism champions.
This annual competition aims to celebrate tourism businesses or suppliers across the region that have gone the extra mile to offer an outstanding visitor experience.
In the North East and Tayside region, The Hideaway Experience is up against Comrie Croft, Crieff and Kinnaird Woodland Lodges in Pitlochry to battle it out and scoop the accolade to go on to represent the region at the glittering national final in Glasgow on 5 March 2015, the closing night of Scottish Tourism Week.
The Scottish Thistle Awards is organised and delivered by VisitScotland but, as announced earlier this year, is now led by several organisations, including VisitScotland, the Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland, Scottish Tourism Alliance, Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards and the Scottish Licensed Trade Association.
