OVERGATE, DUNDEE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH GUIDE DOGS SCOTLAND IN SUPPORT OF GUIDE DOGS PUPPY APPEAL

Overgate, Dundee will be the scene of much excitement (and cuteness overload!) this weekend as the centre proudly launches its partnership with Guide Dogs Scotland with an action-packed public event. The collaboration is in support of this year’s Guide Dogs Puppy Appeal.

Aiming to raise awareness of the tremendous work of Guide Dogs Scotland, and how the dogs transform the lives of people with vision impairments, The Guide Dogs Puppy Appeal weekend will be an unmissable occasion. Launching at 10am on Saturday the 18th, the two-day free event is taking place on the upper mall mezzanine area, with the public invited to enjoy a range of entertainment, including what is sure to be an extremely popular attraction: an appearance by Guide Dog Scotland’s heart-meltingly cute puppies!

Also, across this weekend’s event will be a host of other Guide Dogs-themed entertainment and attractions including:

• Guide Dog demonstrations with their inspirational trainers.
• Guide Dog toy puppy treasure hunt across Overgate.
• Guide Dog fundraising bucket shake and tombola with prizes.
• Guide Dogs pop-up stall with must-have merchandise for sale, and information on the charity’s Rehoming Service as well as how to support its vital work through Legacy will inclusion.

Having had the opportunity to visit the highly impressive regional centre in Forfar, and see the life-changing impact of the charity’s work first hand, Overgate is delighted to be supporting the Guide Dogs Puppy Appeal.

“This weekend promises to be an action-packed, all-ages event with the Guide Dogs Scotland team visiting the centre. We invite the public to bring the kids to take part in the free toy puppy treasure hunt, enjoy watching the guide dog demonstrations, learn about the many ways to get involved with the charity, and support the fundraising bucket shake if in a position to do so. The star attraction of course will be the appearance of Guide Dogs Scotland’s puppies between 10am and 11am on Saturday. We expect this to be very popular, with a fantastic photocall opportunity, and early arrival is recommended.”
