Promotions Bolster Dains’ Accounts Advisory Team in East of Scotland.

Dains has announced the promotion of Claire Lawrence and Carole Porter to Associate Director within its Accounts Advisory team.

The promotions strengthen senior leadership presence across the East of Scotland, and reflect the Group’s ongoing investment in experienced, client-focused advisory support.  

Based in Dunfermline and Dundee respectively, Lawrence and Porter support owner-managed businesses and SMEs across the region, providing clear, practical advice that helps business owners understand performance, strengthen decision-making and plan confidently for sustainable growth.  

The promotions form part of Dains’ wider strategy to build strong, locally embedded leadership across Scotland, ensuring clients benefit from trusted relationships on the ground, backed by the breadth and depth of a national advisory firm.

Claire Lawrence - Accounts Advisory Associate Director

Lawrence, based in Dunfermline, is a Chartered Accountant with a Big Four background and more than 15 years of experience across audit and professional practice. She works closely with growing SMEs across Fife and the wider East of Scotland, focusing on translating financial insight into decisions that drive progress.

Carole Porter - Accounts Advisory Associate Director

Porter who is based in Dundee, brings more than 35 years of experience in accountancy practice and has been ACCA qualified since 1996. Porter advises clients across hospitality, retail, engineering and manufacturing. She focuses on cash flow management, business change and growth planning.
