The Foundation was honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to officially open its new offices at Dudhope Castle on 2nd April 2026, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s continued growth and renewed strategic direction.
The move to Dudhope Castle follows the Foundation’s recent rebrand and its strengthened commitment to supporting and championing the third sector across Tayside and the wider region. As part of a vibrant charity hub, the new location has already played a pivotal role in embedding the Foundation more deeply within the community it serves.
Speaking at the opening, representatives of the Foundation highlighted the importance of the relocation in advancing their mission.
“Our move to Dudhope Castle reflects who we are becoming as an organisation, collaborative, community-focused and committed to strengthening the third sector. Being based within a charity hub has enabled us to build meaningful partnerships and increase our visibility and impact across Dundee.”
Dudhope Castle’s central location has also enhanced accessibility for local organisations, community groups and partners, resulting in increased engagement and a growing number of collaborative initiatives.
During her visit, Her Royal Highness met with staff, partners, donors and representatives from local charities to learn more about the Foundation’s work and its ambitions for the future. The Princess Royal, known for her longstanding commitment to charitable causes, unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the official opening.
The Foundation’s Chief Executive added:
