We’re pleased to be working with Angus Council to deliver environmental monitoring across two listed buildings, supporting the assessment of conditions and long-term performance in complex heritage environments.
Listed buildings require a careful, evidence-led approach. With restrictions on interventions and the need to protect original fabric and features, understanding how a building performs is critical.
The Council were looking to identify both external and internal environmental factors contributing to building deterioration, to support a more proportionate, low-intervention approach to any remedial works required.
By combining monitoring technology with environmental expertise, we’re able to:
- Understand environmental conditions in detail
- Identify the drivers behind issues such as damp, moisture, and fabric deterioration
- Use data to ensure remediation is appropriate, effective, and proportionate
- Help protect the long-term integrity and longevity of these buildings
This project reflects how data-led environmental monitoring can be applied across a variety of environments - particularly in more complex cases where technical expertise is essential.
A strong example of local collaboration , working together to better understand, protect, and preserve buildings that really matter.
