Industry accreditation for Thorntons’ Director

Drumgeith Community Campus and Greenfield Academy, delivered by Robertson Construction Tayside on behalf of Dundee City Council, has been awarded Gold at the Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards, placing the project among the highest-performing construction sites assessed nationally.

The project received a perfect score of 45/45 from inspectors, along with two additional best practice points, giving a total of 47/45 and marking it out as an “outstanding” site.

Judges described the project as consistently excellent across all three key areas of community engagement, environmental care, and workforce wellbeing. They noted that high standards had been maintained and further enhanced, reflecting a deeply embedded culture of continuous improvement.

They also highlighted proactive community outreach, strong sustainability measures and being a supportive, inclusive working environment.

City Growth and Infrastructure Convener Councillor Steven Rome said: “This award recognises the high standards maintained throughout the construction of Drumgeith Community Campus.

“The council worked closely with Robertson Construction Tayside throughout the build to promote positive community engagement and ensure the project had a lasting impact on the local area, particularly in terms of environmental considerations and supporting local jobs.

“It is excellent to see this approach recognised through the award, along with the high praise given to the project.”
