A team from JTC Furniture Group has completed a 13‑mile charity walk along the Northumberland coastline, raising more than £5,000 for Maggie’s Newcastle.
The walk took place between Bamburgh Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle, with the JTC Furniture Group team joined by colleagues from Prosper, 0800 Repair and Believe Housing. The route followed the coastline and tested walkers with challenging weather conditions, including cold, wet and windy starts before finishing in sunshine.
Team members taking part included Colin Tweddell, Connor McCloskey, Gerry Hawthorne, Chris Backhouse and Sarah‑Jane Knox.
The funds raised will support Maggie’s Newcastle, which provides free practical, emotional and social support to people living with cancer and their families.
The walk was supported by Alexander Adventures, who helped guide and support participants throughout the route.
Donations are still open, with all contributions going directly towards supporting Maggie’s Newcastle’s work in the region.
