Sustainable Development Commission Scotland has welcomed the Scottish Government's Low Carbon Economic Strategy published on Monday 15th November.

The strategy aims to keep Scotland at the forefront of future changes to a low carbon world, and the Government points to the opportunities a low carbon economy gives to both Scottish businesses and households.

Professor Jan Bebbington, Vice Chair of the Sustainable Development Commission, Scotland, said "The strategy outlines how the Scottish economy can develop in a low carbon way. It is vital that the Government makes sure that all of Scotland benefits from this move. Creating a

sustainable and resilient Scotland is not just about carbon emissions but pursuing a low carbon economy present a real opportunity to ensure all of Scotland flourishes in the future."
