Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce has announced Daniel Rumszauer, Macro-Economist at NatWest Group, as the first confirmed speaker for the Dundee Economic Summit 2026, taking place on Tuesday 17th November 2026 at Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa.
As Dundee continues to strengthen its reputation as a centre for innovation, enterprise and investment, the summit will bring together leading voices from business, government, education and the wider economic development community to explore the city's next chapter of growth.
With a focus on inward investment and economic impact, the event will focus on how Dundee can build on its existing strengths, attract new opportunities and create the conditions for long-term, inclusive prosperity. First confirmed speaker
Daniel Rumszauer joins the programme as the summit's first confirmed speaker, bringing extensive experience in economic forecasting, public policy and global markets.
As a Macro-Economist within NatWest Group's Forecasting and Scenarios team, Daniel is responsible for keeping the bank informed on economic developments and supporting decision-making through timely economic analysis. His work focuses on understanding the trends shaping the UK and global economy, with research interests including energy and commodity supply chains, pricing, incentives and consumer behaviour.
Daniel joined NatWest in 2019 as part of the Finance team before moving into banking and financial forecasting. He also has a strong interest in public policy, geopolitics and the European economy, and holds a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Aarhus in Denmark.
At the Dundee Economic Summit, Daniel will share his expert insight into the economic outlook and the trends shaping businesses and communities, helping delegates better understand the challenges and opportunities facing organisations in the years ahead.
