V&A Dundee is set to shine a spotlight on Scotland’s thriving fashion industry with the launch of Scotland Fashion Now ’26, a new annual programme celebrating the country's influence on global fashion. The four-day festival will take place from 3 to 6 September 2026, bringing together emerging designers, industry professionals and fashion enthusiasts for a packed programme of catwalks, talks, workshops and networking opportunities.

The inaugural event will open with Scotland Fashion Now: Graduate Showcase ’26, featuring 83 looks created by 26 graduates from some of Scotland’s leading fashion institutions, including Edinburgh College of Art, Glasgow School of Art, Gray’s School of Art and The Design School at Heriot-Watt University. The showcase will highlight the breadth of creative talent emerging from Scotland, with collections exploring themes such as sustainability, heritage, memory and the natural environment.

Alongside the catwalk event, visitors can look forward to a series of industry-focused sessions designed to showcase the diverse careers that make up the fashion sector. Highlights include a designer panel hosted in partnership with the British Fashion Council, hairstyling and communications workshops, discussions on representation within the industry, and an open casting event aimed at discovering new modelling talent in north-east Scotland.

The programme builds on V&A Dundee’s wider fashion offering, taking inspiration from the museum’s current exhibition, Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show, while reinforcing Dundee’s growing reputation as a hub for creativity and design. Organisers hope the event will create new opportunities for emerging Scottish talent while connecting audiences with the people, skills and stories behind the fashion industry.
