Kanzen for Life shortlisted at Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2026
Kanzen for Life has been shortlisted at the 2026 Social Enterprise Awards Scotland, recognising the continued growth and impact of its work across communities.
The Dundee-based social enterprise charity works with more than 2,000 people every week across Dundee, Angus, Fife and Perth and Kinross, using activity, wellbeing, education and leadership to build better lives and empower communities.
At the heart of Kanzen for Life is LifeAbility, its model for developing the confidence, resilience, skills and relationships people need to navigate life.
Kanzen combines community delivery with a sustainable social enterprise approach, generating income through its own activities and reinvesting that income back into its charitable work.
The shortlisting comes during a significant year for the organisation.
In August, First Minister John Swinney officially opened the new Kanzen for Life Centre in Stobswell, following a £1 million investment in capital and jobs. The new facility provides dedicated spaces for activity, learning, wellbeing, leadership development and community programmes.

The shortlisting follows a period of significant development for Kanzen for Life, including the opening of its new Centre, continued expansion of its community programmes and investment in education, skills and leadership opportunities.
The winners will be announced at the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland ceremony in October.
