Tayside lawyers take five of six promotions at Lindsays

Four Dundee lawyers and one Perth lawyer step up as firm underlines commitment to career progression

Five Tayside lawyers — four based in Dundee and one in Perth — are among six solicitors promoted today (Thursday) by independent Scottish legal firm Lindsays.

The promotions span Lindsays’ Dundee and Perth teams, with three Dundee lawyers and the Perth-based lawyer becoming Senior Associates, and a further Dundee colleague stepping up to Associate. The sixth promotion is in Glasgow.

The five Tayside promotions reinforce the depth of talent across the firm’s local offices. They form part of six new roles across Dundee, Perth and Glasgow, comprising five Senior Associates and one Associate.

The newly promoted Tayside lawyers are:

●       Mairi Innes, Senior Associate, Residential Property, Perth

●       Erin Peoples, Senior Associate, Residential Property, Dundee

●       Joanna Saigeon, Senior Associate, Residential Property, Dundee

●       Katherine McAlpine, Senior Associate, Dispute Resolution and Litigation, Dundee

●       Megan Hainey, Associate, Private Client, Dundee

Qasim Ali, from the firm’s Corporate team in Glasgow, has also been promoted to Senior Associate.

Andrew Diamond, Managing Partner of Lindsays, said: “It is a pleasure to offer these six colleagues the well-earned opportunity to progress to the next step of their career with the firm. Congratulations to each of them.

“Attracting and retaining good people has been at the heart of our success for many years. As Lindsays continues to grow, we remain fully committed to ongoing professional development and progression.”

Since January, Lindsays has also appointed six new Partners and two Consultants across various departments. Alongside its Dundee and Perth offices, the firm has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Crieff.
