Tayside NHS Board Non-executive member appointment

NHS Tayside is looking for a new member to join its Board. If you are looking for a challenging, rewarding and worthwhile opportunity, we would like to hear from you.

Applications are invited from a wide range of people who have an interest in public service and are committed to the NHS in Scotland. NHS Tayside is responsible for meeting the health needs of around 400,000 people living in the area, and provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services for the population.

As a non-executive member of the Board, you will be expected to play a central role in guiding the strategies which address the health priorities and health care needs of the resident population and which will have a lasting impact on the delivery of healthcare in local communities across the area served by NHS Tayside.

The role is as challenging as it is rewarding – and you will be offered training to support you in this role. The role takes up on average 8 hours a week – in exchange for £8,088 (non-pensionable) a year plus reasonable travel and subsistence costs, dependant-carerexpenses and support required to help you carry out your duties effectively.


Appointments will be for up to 4 years, with the possibility of re-appointment subject to evidence of effective performance and to satisfying the requirements of the person specification for the role at the time of re-appointment.
