Rising Star for Science Centre

At their Annual Conference in November the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions voted Dundee Science Centre's Coffee Shop Supervisor, Sam Wallace winner of a national tourism industry 'Rising Star' award.

science_centre_cafe_awardAt their Annual Conference in November the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions voted Dundee Science Centre's Coffee Shop Supervisor, Sam Wallace winner of a national tourism industry 'Rising Star' award.

Sam was recognised as the leading 'Rising Star' of Scottish tourism. The prize is awarded to professionals under the age of 30 who are already proving to be the future leaders and innovators in the industry.

This is the third year that the shortlist for the award has included a member of Dundee Science Centre's team. CEO Louise Smith said, "Dundee Science Centre is very much a learning organisation: it is core to our mission. Not only do we deliver science learning experiences for the Tayside community, but we challenge and develop our own team to be at the cutting edge of their profession. Sam is a great learner, and is responsible for making the science centre's Infusion Coffee Shop not only somewhere to get a snack, but a trustworthy, healthy, high quality coffee shop and place to meet".
