College appoints trust-funding and sponsorship officer

D&A College has created a brand new role in the position of trust-funding and sponsorship officer and the person to take up this post is Siobhan Fagan. 

Siobhan brings a wealth of varied experience to the position having enjoyed success in this element of her job at Angus Council, over the past 10 years.

Based in both Forfar and latterly Arbroath, Siobhan has worked with the public, private and voluntary sectors to identify, develop and win funding and sponsorship opportunities.

“I have been in involved in a huge variety of different projects from community environmental initiatives to the redevelopment of Arbroath’s West Links Park area, helping local groups and organisations to take their aspirations forward and sourcing funding for them” said Siobhan.

Siobhan was most recently involved in the regeneration of Arbroath town centre, working hard to deliver an innovative package of redevelopment to attract more visitors, help existing traders to flourish, encourage new business to the area and invigorate the town centre for the benefit of the local community.  Siobhan also established a business association in the town.

The new appointee also has experience in the tertiary education sector having worked in the Senate of the University of Glasgow managing bursaries and endowments.

“To maximise income generation through trust funding and sponsorship opportunities this new role will be stimulating and will involve managing community engagement and forging strong partnerships and effective working relationships to ensure success for both the college, the students and the wider community.”
