DLA to PIP Video Clip

As a member of the Fairness Commission, DACC CEO Alison Henderson would urge as many people as possible to cascade this information out to the communities that we live & work in.

As part of the continued awareness raising activities within Dundee around Welfare Reform, a short film has been produced which explains the transition from DLA to PIP (Personal Independent Payment). Please see link below to the video on the Dundee City Council website.

It is estimated that this change will affect around 6,950 adults in Dundee. The film clip explains the importance of people responding to their initial letter as well as giving an overview of the key changes and a list of support agencies.

\"We know from evidence presented to the Fairness Commission, that Welfare Reform is something which has and will continue to have real impact on people who live locally, and is a very important factor in our intention to bring equality and fairness into our society, our City and our region.

I would therefore ask that we work together to share this message and make sure everyone in our local region is as knowledgeable as possible about their own responsibilities in acting on these changes, so that vulnerable people within our region can be supported to lessen any impact on their circumstances by the reforms.

Thanks for your support\"
