Simpson & Marwick is pleased to announce that we are to merge with global law firm Clyde & Co with effect from 1 October 2015. The merged firm will be known as Clyde & Co while the residential property division will continue to trade under the Simpson & Marwick name.
Our client-focused merger of two successful and financially robust law firms significantly enhances Clyde & Co\'s UK client service offering and provides Simpson & Marwick\'s clients with access to Clyde & Co\'s fast-growing global platform.
With 45 partners, we are one of Scotland\'s largest law firms and are widely regarded as having pre-eminent insurance disputes and residential property practices. Clyde & Co has more than 320 partners, 1700 legal professionals and 2,800 staff in 39 offices worldwide.
The combination strengthens Clyde & Co\'s position as the UK\'s leading insurance sector law firm. The combined firm will be able to provide composite insurers with an unrivalled and comprehensive service across both England and Scotland, particularly in casualty, healthcare and professional lines. The addition of our Newcastle and Leeds offices enhances Clyde & Co\'s presence in the north of England.
