Grove Academy has been placed 15th for exam results out of 379 state secondary schools in Scotland, with 25% of fifth year pupils passing five highers.

Broughty Ferry councillor Laurie Bidwell said of Grove's achievement, "I congratulate pupils and staff for achieving these Higher exam results. It reflects very well on head teacher John Hunter, his staff, pupils and the parents for their support."

Trevor Haines, Director of Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce, said: "When it comes to education, all businesses share the same goal: successful schools with motivated pupils who enter the workforce with the qualifications, skills and attitudes that employers need. It is very encouraging to see that the teachers and pupils in Dundee are meeting the challenge of raising attainment levels."
