The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is the best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle in the UK – and with good reason.
Capable of 32 miles in EV mode, the average commute can be driven solely on electricity, reducing the cost to you and the environment as well as producing combined emissions of only 42 CO2 g/km, up to the national speed limit.
On longer journeys – or when you need extra power – the petrol engine kicks in, boosting the range to a combined 541 miles. In general, the MPG of the PHEV is up to 156. Depending on the driver, this can be much more. Mitsubishi has customers who have achieved unlimited MPG since moving to PHEV.
That’s not even the best part. The PHEV\'s ultra-low emissions of only 42g/km means that company car drivers choosing the Outlander PHEV will pay just 5% tax as BIK compared to the 25% or more that most business users will pay. In effect, business users can give themselves up to a £5,396 a year pay rise, this is before accounting for the fuel savings.
