Crowdfunding Launch of ACK\'s Young Champions

Published

21st January 2016

As members of Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce you are invited to attend the crowdfunding launch for Along Came Kirsty’s Young Champions.   This initiative aims to provide an opportunity for local disadvantaged children and young people (CYP) to develop a range of skills and gain experience in a third sector organisation.  The project will improve the employment potential of disadvantaged CYP from local schools where children’s attainment levels are low and there are behavioural issues with frequent exclusion from school.

The CYP will not only learn from the wide range of skills the ACK team, such as marketing, budgeting, events and planning, but also a sense of structure, increased self-esteem, communications skills, self-respect and respect for others in a workplace during their 10 week placement.

To find out more information about this initiative, and to find out how you can get involved in supporting disadvantaged local children, join us at the Along Came Kirsty CIC offices on Monday, 1 February 2016 from 17:30 to 19:00 at 4-6 Staffa Place, Dundee DD2 3SX.

If you would like to attend please contact project manager Anthea Reid at anthea@alongcamekirsty.co.uk or phoning 01382 339560
