There is always a warm welcome at Dundee Rep Theatre and this season is no exception. Dundee Rep Ensemble is recognised as one of the UK’s leading theatre companies, with a reputation for creating high quality and ground breaking productions of an international standard for the people of Dundee and Scotland. With a year-round programme of the best drama, dance, comedy and music Dundee Rep Theatre is at the centre of Dundee’s cultural community. This season Dundee Rep has put together a season of Love for Dundee audiences to enjoy.

Right at the heart of the love season, Dundee Rep Ensemble presents John Kolvenbach’s offbeat romantic comedy Love Song. Performed at Dundee Rep Theatre from 14 until 23 April, this funny, charming and wonderfully touching production is a rhapsody to the power of love in all its forms.

Written by American playwright John Kolvenbach, Love Song was nominated for an Olivier Award as best new comedy in 2007. Dundee Rep welcomes back award-winning director Andrew Panton, who last directed Dundee Rep Ensemble in 2012, with the hugely popular The Mill Lavvies.

Love Song is centred on three members of a small family, oddball Beane, his uptight sister Joan and her outspoken husband, Harry. Love Song is a delightful journey along the perilous edge of hope and reality.
