New appointment to board of Montrose Port will aid development strategy

Educated at Montrose Academy and Heriot-Watt University, he brings to the port over 36 years business experience in the oil industry where he has worked in a variety of senior management roles. He is currently the Aberdeen managing director of Houston based SCF Partners, which provides capital and strategic growth assistance to companies in the energy sector.

A well-known figure in Montrose, Peter is an accomplished fund-raiser and is actively involved in the local community where he has served as secretary and chairman of the Montrose Round Table. He is past president and current secretary of Montrose Burns Club and is a director of Montrose Football Club.

Peter said: “Montrose port lies at the heart of the community and I look forward to taking an active part in its continuing development in my new role on the board of MPA. Exciting times lies ahead for the port as it looks to further develop its customer base and infrastructure.”
