Wellgate welcomes “The Entertainer”! 

Nine jobs, with the promise of more to come, will be created in Dundee as Wellgate welcomes The Entertainer, the fastest growing multi-channel high street toy retailer in the UK.

The Entertainer, which has 118 stores throughout the UK including three in Scotland, has signed a lease for a 3,300 square foot unit on the ground floor of Wellgate, joining occupiers including B & M, New Look, BHS, Iceland and Home Bargains. The store is on target to open on Saturday 12 March 2016.

The award-winning toy retailer, which has seen profits soar in the last five years, is bucking the current trend across the retail industry and has plans to open further stores across the UK in 2016. The Entertainer also donates 10% of its net annual profit to charity each year and will shortly announce which local charity it will be collaborating with.

Children stepping into The Entertainer will be transported into a world of wonder, surrounded by all of their favourite toys, with friendly staff on hand to help guide families around the new store.
