Galloway Welcomes Local MP

4th April 2016

Major Dundee employer Galloway Group welcomed Chris Law MP for a visit to its Arrol Road manufacturing plant last week.

Mr Law was keen to learn more about Galloway’s range of manufactured products, services, design and engineering capabilities.  During a tour of the manufacturing plant, he was also able to meet many of its highly-skilled, long-serving local employees.

And against the backdrop of other recent local company closures, Mr Law was interested to see for himself how Galloway has remained resilient by continuing to adapt to changing markets, as well as business and customer needs.

Galloway’s Production Director, Chris Burgoyne, said “We were delighted to welcome Chris Law MP to our Dundee headquarters, so he could see for himself the scale of our operations, the markets we work in and local employment opportunities we continue to deliver.

He added “We look forward to continuing support from our local MP as we embark on the next stage of our ambitious plans for future growth.”

Chris Law MP commented “It has been incredible to learn how diverse Galloway Group is in serving a range of sectors from marine, oil and gas to construction and pharmaceutical.  I was also fascinated to learn that the company has been established in Dundee since before the production of the first ‘real’ motorcar over 150 years ago.  Its ability to adapt and meet the needs of an ever changing market is a true reflection of the skills and vision of all its dedicated and long serving staff and I wish Galloway Group the very best for its future here in Dundee.”
