Angus Funding Update - Red Nose Day Community Cash Fund

Published

8th February 2011

A one-off grant for local community groups from Comic Relief.

Comic Relief are making grants of between £500 and £1000 available to local-run groups in Tayside and Fife with an income of less than £50,000 that:

  • reach out to people that are isolated or excluded from local opportunities;
  • help bring together people within communities, breaking down barriers and building and strengthening relationships;
  • help local people take more responsibility for their community, and their environment.

One-off activities will be considered as long as they can clearly demonstrate the longer-term benefit. Grants are for parent and toddler groups, equipment for youth groups, village halls, befriending services for older people and improving services to groups that carry out valuable work in the community. Grants are administered by the Community Foundation for Scotland on behalf of Comic Relief.

Applications of this fund have been undersubscribed. To find out more visit http://www.scottishcf.org/resources/funds/view/100/red-nose-day-community-cash/?from=R/1, or call Eddie Findlay on 01307 473264.
