Environmental technology company scoops innovation award in Hong Kong.

Bio Technics Ltd won the HSBC Business Thinking 2010 Regional Final for Scotland & Northern Ireland at the end of last year and was one of only 18 companies from across the UK to compete at the finals in Hong Kong in December 2010.

The Business Thinking 2010 was a new initiative set up by HSBC in order to find the UK's most innovative and forward thinking companies. General Manager and owner of Bio Technics, David Evans, who met Lord Jones at the Hong Kong finals, said: 'Bio Technics prides itself on its unique product range and thinking style and to have this recognised by the HSBC initiative was a wonderful achievement.

'Being part of the HSBC Business Thinking competition has been a fantastic opportunity for the company as a whole. It has given us the chance to network with a variety of companies from across the world and also with leading HSBC executives.'

The company is in the process of launching a new innovative range of hospital disinfection products which use its patent-pending water-based technology. The range is designed to help stop the spread of hospital-acquired infections.
